Project Description

Casa Círculo’s mission is to provide creative, educational, and recreational opportunities for Hispanic immigrants and their families in San Francisco’s Bay Area, while promoting Hispanic art, culture, and traditions. Programs promote Hispanic art, culture, and traditions and bring the Hispanic heritage to the larger population as performances. Teamwork and social responsibility are emphasized throughout the programs and family bonds are strengthened. Art, music, dance, literacy, and other classes are taught in Spanish to help Hispanic students immersed in English culture become truly bilingual and connected to the culture of their parents and grandparents. Families not only learn traditional Hispanic arts, they showcase those arts to the public, participating in plays and festivals including performing with the San Francisco Symphony.
