With support from the California Arts Council, the Temecula Valley Players (TVP) will register for intermediate Word Press Training to update our website for a more professional appearance and added capacity such as: a sponsorship page, Mission Statement page, donation button, and archive for previous shows. Last year, TVP received $895 from CAC for Basic Word Press Training. We have successfully managed our website this year without paying a professional thanks to the grant from the CAC.
The Temecula Valley Players (TVP) is inclusive and encourages diversity in all of its productions. TVP has five productions annually, four of which are musicals, and one comedy or drama. Over 60% of our casts are youth from a wide variety of backgrounds. For all five productions, participants are able to take part the in theater in a number of capacities; as actors and actresses; as part of the creative team (director, musical director, choreographer, costumer, lighting design, sound design, set design and build, and others); as part of the stage crew; as producers; for outreach and marketing; and other positions as needed. An annual Youth Drama Camp is also offered during summer break where youth learn to audition by creating a resume, selecting a song which is appropriate for their age and vocal range, selecting appropriate audition attire, and learning basic dance moves (for those who are not experienced dancers). Numerous youth have advanced to professional careers.
