With the support from the California Arts Council Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory will provide Transitioning Age Youth (TAY) with creative arts mentors/femtor/themtors who would provide stable and sustainable connections to non-traditional services for LA youth who would otherwise have little to no access to arts programming.
Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory provides programs that introduce career skills for individuals who are interested in pursing creative arts careers.
These programs include: film production, web-series creation, video-game programming, music production, broadcast engineering, and digital content creation. Our FM Radio Station, KQBH, 101.5 is a community service of Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory, with daily programming focused on having community impact.
Our core programs and services are an introduction to creative arts careers that aren’t focused on the artist behind the mic or in front of the camera, rather the 100 jobs that surround those individuals. Skill training is provided in careers that are traditionally not accessible to most under-served populations.
We advocate for a creative arts industry that is reflective of our population.
