Led by a multidisciplinary team of artists and creative professionals, we organize our work holistically. We support the spirit of the Cuyama Valley (and other similarly-situated rural communities) that see the work to be done as inherently intersectional. We hire artists on staff, as visiting artists, and as local co-creators to address our rural, remote community’s most pressing issues. Our creative community engagement approach empowers community residents to be advocates for themselves and their neighbors surrounding community-identified issues of arts in the schools, economic and climate resiliency, food access, and rural innovation.
