MAINSTAGE – Focusing on new work. Most recently the World Premieres of HOT TRAGIC DEAD THING by Ashley Rose Wellman and the LADCC Award-winning A SINGULAR THEY by Aliza Goldstein (the first play in the US with an Intersex main character). The Blank’s Mainstage Productions have won “Best Production” from every major Los Angeles theatre award.

YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL – The 12 best plays by writers 9 to 19 are produced each June. In 28 years, we have produced 333 plays by these young writers. 61% of winning writers have been female, trans or non-binary.

YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS ACADEMY – Our Young Playwrights Academy brings students a professional playwrighting classroom experience to help students find and focus their own unique voice.

LIVING ROOM SERIES – New Play Development Program produces 25 “workshops” with a week of rehearsal and professional actors and directors who interpret the play. These plays have consistently gone on to venues around the world. Nell Benjamin’s THE EXPLORER’S CLUB won the NY Outer Critics Circle Award for “Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play” after two developmental workshops in our LRS. LRS performances are free to the public.
