With support from the California Arts Council, BLACK REBIRTH COLLECTIVE will upgrade the role of our contract Social Media Intern to a personnel Social Media Associate to increase our capacity by expanding our community reach and engaging supporters of a healthy arts ecosystem in LA through our social media channels.
In our mission to be a home for Black theatre artists in Los Angeles, BRC’s programmatic offerings focus on building and maintaining a safe space for Black artists to take artistic risks. The “Be Real Chile” program supports and offers new and established writers opportunities to develop and present their works through readings and workshops. The “Be a ResourCe” program provides resources for community members and artists alike to sit at the feet of artists and theatre creators who have walked the path and are creating new paths through roundtable discussions, panels and community engagement. The “Bold, Resilient and Carefree” program is the gymnasium spirit of the BRC’s genesis, where artists are encouraged to come and work out new pieces, monologues, scenes and theatre ideas to cultivate their authentic and creative voices.
