With support from the California Arts Council, BINDLESTIFF will collaborate with artist Sammay Dizon for her Daluyan Project, which aims to help participants cope with various forms of trauma through the healing powers of the indigenous arts and practices of the Philippines. Structured around a year-long series of workshops inspired by indigenous dance/movement/storytelling, Daluyan will culminate in two free public performances, the content of which will be generated by the participants.
Bindlestiff Studio provides the often under-served Filipino American community access to diverse offerings in theatrical productions, music and film festivals, workshops in directing, production, acting, stand-up comedy, and writing, as well as arts education for youth.
