America SCORES Bay Area (SCORES) is a unique and impactful youth development program offered in the out-of-school time hours to students in first through eighth grade. SCORES supports whole child development through the teamwork of soccer, the creativity of poetry, and the compassion of service-learning, while our team-based approach instills our core values of Fair Play, Teamwork, Commitment and Leadership. In 20 years, SCORES has served over 16,000 young people in seven Bay Area cities in over 80 sites.

SCORES empowers its poet-athletes to lead healthy lifestyles, be engaged and collaborative students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We envision a Bay Area where all young people experience joy, a sense of belonging, and are well prepared to navigate their futures. We believe in a Bay Area rich with meaningful opportunities for all children: teams to play on; outlets for creative and physical expression; and pathways to develop their own voices. SCORES coaches serve as role models and mentors, providing enriching experiences and teaching values essential skills and competencies, including collaboration, critical and creative thinking, empathy, resilience, and courage.
