Project Description

Founded in 2014, B4BEL4B Gallery gives precedence to under-served voices and innovative artistic practices. Our arts program has prioritized those who identify as women, non-binary, BIPOC, and LGBTQIS-2 — groups that are critically underrepresented in art, technology, and media spaces in the Bay Area and beyond. These voices and the art forms they create are critical to the vitality of the Bay Area Arts Community. B4BEL4B Gallery has always focused on experimental art methods, including new media, interdisciplinary art, and the cross pollination of different mediums with new technologies. Located in Oakland, a city experiencing rapid gentrification and displacement, B4BEL4B Gallery is a platform for critical and inclusive dialogue about technology, art, and place. We are committed to developing these dialogues and serving the arts community for years to come.
