Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Teaching Artists Guild will strengthen the field of teaching artistry through network creation, communication, resource sharing and convening. TAG will continue to add data to its interactive asset map of the field, publish its digital quarterly magazine, and offer free social justice and professional development resource databases. Additionally, TAG will convene stakeholders to explore building a system for the certification for teaching artists.
Organization Summary
TAG provides resources and services to a network of teaching artists across the United States and in particular through its arm in CA, TAG of CA. These include the Pay Rate Calculator, discounts on dental and vision services, access to business services, a social justice resource database, job board, and professional development listings. TAG is also mapping teaching artists and arts providers across the state to both strengthen the network and to ascertain whether the arts are offered equitably across California.
