Project Description
With Support from the CA Arts Council, Teaching Artists Guild, a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives will offer professional development, coaching, and consulting in rural counties for teaching artists, in order expand the impact of arts education, with the anticipated outcomes of strengthening existing programs, developing new teaching artists in the county, and connecting the county to new virtual and digital arts education resources in our network.
Organization Summary
TAG provides resources and services to a network of teaching artists across the United States and in particular through its arm in CA, TAG of CA. These include the Pay Rate Calculator, discounts on dental and vision services, access to business services, a social justice resource database, job board, and professional development listings. TAG is also mapping teaching artists and arts providers across the state to both strengthen the network and to ascertain whether the arts are offered equitably across California.
