Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, ARTSPACE INC will have our new Technical Director participate in a series of safety and equipment training courses. These courses will help him support our renters in the use of equipment, and assure that the theater operates in the safest way possible. The program includes light board training, OSHA fall protection, OSHA General industry safety, and First Aid including CPR and AED instruction.
Organization Summary
We are primarily a rental venue, providing a performance venue and technical and administrative mentorship for producing organizations. Each year we have more than 80 different producers who use the space, most of these are small non-profit groups themselves. In many cases they are small enough that they are not actual corporations, but just a group of your artists. We maintain a rental subsidy fund to help support beginning producers and those producing shows that cater to underserved artists and audiences. We also produce a limited number of productions, again, that cater to underserved artists and audiences.
