Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Art Saves Lives will produce ~36 events during the grant period including commission-free First Friday and First Sunday pop-up gallery events, funneling 100% of proceeds to participating artists; compensate figure models and entertainers; offer 30 free art classes, and continue general operations.
Organization Summary
Under the curatorial direction of artist Thomasina DeMaio, ArtSavesLives Studio & Gallery exhibits change monthly. Live model drawing classes are held six times per week, offered free to LGBTQ community members and individuals experiencing houselessness.
