Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council Nevada County Arts Council agrees to reporting requirements (including Interim and Final Reports), agrees to send a representative contingent to any CAC-convenings, and will work with its partners—the Cities of Grass Valley and Nevada City, Nevada City Chamber, Grass Valley Chamber and Grass Valley Downtown Association—to build upon the successes of foundational cultural planning already achieved. Together we will support Grass Valley-Nevada City Cultural District in its journey to become a unique community of practice and action that carries the legacy of our historically underrepresented communities, and a place of belonging for all peoples. We will hire a Program Manager and support staff, and complete a cultural plan that our communities can engage with and be proud of—one which shares our story as a California Cultural District.
