Project Description

The Cedar Street Theatre (also known as Antelope Valley Community Theatre) organization is committed to elevating the arts through inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. We must include all people in order to achieve our mission of making the world a better place through live theatre.

By creating diversity among participants and programs, we are strengthening the cultural fabric of our community. Doing so allows us to tell stories that reflect the diverse perspectives of our artistic community, letting the audience see themselves in our work while encouraging them to gain new understanding of others. Cedar Street Theatre believes in acceptance, tolerance, and compassion for all people to connect humanity through the creative art of performance.

We want to tell stories that will entertain, educate, and also inspire young artists to not just tolerate differences but celebrate them. We welcome all who wish to create a world without racism – a world in which love, equality, and justice prevail.
