With support from the California Arts Council, 222 HEALDSBURG PERFORMING ARTS will create a student participation program for our performing arts program including complimentary attendance and educational enhancements for a variety of live performances featuring local and internationally known artists in jazz, classical music, choral music, film, and literary arts.
THE 222 organizes and presents over 100 performing arts events per year spread across the areas of jazz, classical music, choral music, opera, theatrical, literary readings, film series and community conversations.
THE 222 incorporates interactive, engaging experiences for our audiences. This might involve pre- or post-concert discussions with the artists, open literary readings and conversations, moderated debates, learning opportunities, improvised interactions, and mentoring.
THE 222 hosts special events intended specifically to build community. The current monthly community gatherings in the Moss room devoted to the question “What moves you?” are a good example.
