Home > Opportunities > Call for Artists: Crocker Art Museum Art Auction Season 2025
The Crocker Art Museum is pleased to open artist submissions for the 2025 Art Auction season. Artist contributions to this annual fundraiser directly benefit the thousands of children, families, and adults the Museum serves every year. We hope you will be one of our participating artists! Proceeds from the sale of all artwork support the Crocker’s dynamic exhibitions, community-building programs, and studio classes.
Artists can submit works to:
Art Auction, which includes the highly anticipated in-person Live Auction and international virtual Silent Auction. Up to 150 works are selected for these auctions, and selected artists may choose to keep 50% of the proceeds from the sale of their work (artists’ shares can equal up to 125% of the fair market value). Artists may also choose to donate 100% to the Museum. The virtual Silent Auction is open for online bidding from May 9 to June 7 at bid.crockerart.org. The Live Auction takes place at the Museum on Saturday, June 7.
Big Names, Small Art (BNSA), a virtual auction of small (12 x 12 inches or less) artworks that draws thousands of new and seasoned collectors. All artwork that meets BNSA submission guidelines will be accepted, and 100% of the auction proceeds go to the Museum. BNSA is open for bidding from May 9 to June 8, at bid.crockerart.org.
This Sacramento tradition has become an international event! Submit your art for the opportunity to connect with new and seasoned collectors, other artists, and the art community. The virtual and in-person auctions generate millions of views and draw an audience of more than 2,000 worldwide bidders who vie for works contributed by artists like you.
The deadline to submit to the 2025 Art Auction is February 28 at 11:59 PST. Please read these guidelines before submitting artwork. Online submission forms may be accessed here:
