The City of Paramount is seeking applications from artists for a public art opportunity. This is a mural project inside an actively used community center in Paramount – the Spane Park Learning Center. Spane Park is a 4.2-acre park founded in 1976.
This opportunity is open to experienced artists living and working in Southern California – Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, San Diego, and Imperial Counties.
Artists may enter a maximum of 2 works for consideration.
The project budget is $6,000. The wall area is 300 square feet.
The mural theme is “What does Spane Park mean to the community?” The commission is open to all types of design approaches and styles. The City is looking for a lasting mural that will inspire nearby residents and participants in Spane Park activities and be a point of community pride.
