The City of Orinda recently released an RFP seeking a professional artist or artist team to design and implement public artwork at two prominent locations along Highway 24: the Camino Pablo underpass and the pedestrian bridge over the westbound off-ramp into north Orinda. The selected artist or team will develop artwork for both sites, work through the City and Caltrans review processes, and ultimately oversee fabrication and installation. The project is intended to create an attractive community gateway that celebrates Orinda’s natural beauty, history, ecology, culture, and identity.
