Founded in 2020, Healing Music Seeds (HMS) is dedicated to advancing access to equitable music education for all young people across North Sacramento. The organization is equipping children and their families with musical instruments and tailored lessons so that children can benefit from the inclusion of music in their development. The HMS team is a highly skilled group of professionals devoted to teaching children how to play an instrument and experience the positive impact of a music-filled life.

HMS has developed exceptionally strong programs that: (1) provide tailored music lessons for a variety of instruments; (2) equip low-income children with their own instrument; and (3) introduce children and their families to the positive impact learning music has on development. To achieve its mission, HMS is actively establishing funding sources, building a strong team of staff and board members, building partnerships and outreach opportunities with local music and/or youth development organizations.
