Overview:

“You Made It!” is an immersive art show centered on queer artists and our construction of home.

So much of queer life is finding and surrounding ourselves with chosen family, built community, and consciously curated safe spaces. Feeling at ease and fully comfortable in public can be rare. Feeling safe within personal home spaces can be difficult and sometimes unachievable until adulthood, if ever.

Continuing in the long-standing practice of built spaces, we’re asking queer artists what makes them feel comfortable, what feels reflective of a safe home, what they enjoy surrounding themselves with, and what they wish their homes were filled with growing up. Even delving into the aspects from their childhoods that they later found to be queer signaling.

Together, we create a space that feels authentic, safe, and instantly comfortable. We create home.
