OBOP provides musical opportunities for the community-at-large including schools and senior centers.

Our comprehensive in-school programs are designed to promote and support instrumental studies through concerts, hands-on learning with instruments, and mentoring for young musicians.
-Our Instrument Introduction program focuses on 4th and 5th grade students as they choose instruments for study in the coming year. It features a 50 minute concert with classical, jazz, contemporary, and media music.
-Our In-School Concerts for 6th graders is an inspirational-style concert that focuses on showstopper instrument virtuoso features such as La Virgen de la Macarena (trumpet solo) and St. James Infirmary (trombone solo). We use these pieces to showcase the strengths and sounds of brass, giving students listening examples to highlight the differences between the various instruments.
-The Side By Side mentoring sessions are designed to support students in all areas of their musical development, providing students who would in all likelihood never be able to afford private lessons with the opportunity to learn from professional musicians.
