With support from the California Arts Council, Launch Productions Inc (LAUNCH) will provide accessible quality arts programming to Los Angeles residents through exhibitions at our gallery and temporary spaces across Los Angeles, and by producing special events including Tarfest-our free annual arts and music festival. We will provide emerging artists with career building tools through exhibitions, curatorial opportunities, and free practical professional development.
LAUNCH is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to supporting emerging Los Angeles artists while bringing diverse, accessible cultural experiences to the public. Since its founding in 2010, LAUNCH has provided presentation opportunities to over 900 artists through gallery exhibitions, pop-up shows, and the production of Tarfest, its free annual music and arts festival now entering its 22st year (and 16th produced by Launch).
LAUNCH offers a platform for artists early in their careers to connect with audiences, curators, and the broader art community. Our programming includes an average of ten annual gallery shows at our home gallery, community partnership pop ups, and special projects with cultural institutions including The Korean Cultural Center, A+D Museum, Avenue 50 Studio, and Art Share LA. Through inclusive curation and accessible venues, LAUNCH promotes cultural equity and creative growth. Its artist services include mentorship, career guidance, and open proposal policies.
LAUNCH’s programming provides the community with free access to high-quality cultural events, exhibitions, and performances that reflect the city’s rich diversity. By activating public spaces and offering inclusive, family-friendly experiences, we foster community connection, supports arts education, and enrich the cultural life of Los Angeles residents of all ages.
LAUNCH’s works to strengthen the symbiotic relationship between artists and audiences—nourishing the cultural fabric of Los Angeles while helping emerging creatives build sustainable careers.
