Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Self Help Graphics & Art will invite the artist Jackie Amézquita for its 2024 Beyond the Press Artist in Residence program to engage youth and immigrant community members in a collaborative creative process that will culminate in a public artistic intervention, performance or installation.

Organization Summary

Self Help Graphics serves 30,000 community members and upwards of 100 artists annually through our programming. That includes:

-Our curatorial offerings: Our Exhibitions and Archive, the Professional Printmaking Program, the Barrio Mobile Art Studio, and the Beyond the Press Artist Residency program
– Free and low-cost arts education programming for youth, families and individuals
– Free community arts programs such as our Dia de los Muertos programming and Wellness Wednesdays
