With support from the California Arts Council, L.A. Theatre Works will stage our first full season of live radio theatre productions since COVID. Our 2023-24 live season will encompass seven plays from diverse playwrights presented over 28 performances in our unique audio theatre format at UCLA’s James Bridges Theater. The plays will be recorded, published and disseminated worldwide through our weekly national public radio show, streaming, podcast, commercial and educational distribution. Live performance is the centerpiece of LATW’s pipeline of production, presentation, recording, publication and dissemination of new plays – which will reach more than 25,000 Californians across all regions of the state. Year two funding will sustain our live performances for the 2024-25 season.
