With support from the California Arts Council FILIPINO-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION agrees to reporting requirements (including Interim and Final Reports), agrees to send a representative contingent to any CAC-convenings, and will support the work of SOMA PILIPINAS, San Francisco’s Filipino Cultural Heritage District. CAC will support costs associated with personnel, public art/urban design/public realm and community development activities and events that focus on cultural arts, history and living legacy, and racial equity. Our mission is to stop further displacement of our residents, raise the visibility of our community through cultural celebration and the arts, to stabilize our cultural institutions and advance racial equity in solidarity with other communities and cultural districts.
FADF’s core organizational programs and services include social service advocacy and referral, fiscal and organizational support for community service agencies primarily serving the Filipino community in SF, community asset development, including development & management of the Bayanihan Community Center, Filipino Cultural District development (SOMA Pilipinas Cultural District), and cultural arts education.
