Since 1972, the HCA has demonstrated its commitment to cultural well-being by bringing the highest quality of world-class live music artists, and the promotion of music appreciation. Now in its 49th season, the HCA has provided outstanding music on selected Sunday afternoons throughout the year for the enjoyment of hundreds of people of all ages per season. In conjunction with the Sunday afternoon concerts, the HCA provides it “Musical Wings” Student Outreach Programs on most Mondays following each concert. Bringing together local youth and professional musicians through “Musical Wings” engages the youth with fun and interactive learning experiences. These programs foster cultural expansion, community enrichment, offer music as an emotional expression and serve as a source of encouragement for future music-related opportunities for youth. We are particularly proud that the HCA provides FREE admission to all of our concerts for those 22 years of age or younger. Additionally, the HCA has, for the past 13 years, awarded over $26,000 in scholarships and grants to local students pursuing higher musical education and supported music oriented youth enrichment. With respect to grants, the HCA has helped fund the “Bridge Program” which is offered to students in both the Hemet Unified School District and the San Jacinto Unified School District. BRIDGE is a free, string instrument training opportunity for 4th grade and older students.
