Project Description
With support from the CA Arts Council Self Help Graphics & Art will host our arts education program Creative Labs at Mendez High School during school hours, in collaboration with teachers to design an arts curriculum that complements the 9th grade curriculum and provides students with artistic forms of expression.
Organization Summary
Self Help Graphics serves 30,000 community members and upwards of 100 artists annually through our programming. That includes:
-Our curatorial offerings: Our Exhibitions and Archive, the Professional Printmaking Program, the Barrio Mobile Art Studio, and the Beyond the Press Artist Residency program
– Free and low-cost arts education programming for youth, families and individuals
– Free community arts programs such as our Dia de los Muertos programming and Wellness Wednesdays
