With support from the California Arts Council, Stanford Jazz Workshop will produce two annual summer seasons of jazz education programs for youth ages 10-17. Programs include a 1-week Day Camp for younger students; 2-week Jazz Camp for residential and commuter students; and Advanced Week for advanced youth and adults.
Year-Round Education Programs: six core ensembles (3 for middle school students, 3 for high school students) with annual enrollment of about 200, including 6 free annual performances attended by about 1,100.
Summer Education Programs: four weeks of immersive camps for about 600 middle school students, high school students, and adults; plus a two-week professional development residency for emerging educators/performers; includes 4 free performances attended by about 1,400.
Ticket Performances: 30 ticketed performances, total attendance of about 11,000.
Free Performances: 65 free performances annually for the general public, total attendance of about 7,000.
