Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Arte Del Corazón will implement our youth artist collective with youth from Watsonville’s Midpen low income housing complexes. Interested youth ages 12 to17 will gain experience working in a group setting, creating and showcasing artwork, event planting, curating and creating public art proposals.
Organization Summary
Arte Del Corazón’s core programs are; Local Creative Professional development/ mentorship (workshops, one on one support, and Artist for Hire creative job referils), Youth Development and Mentorship program (youth artist collectives, internships, arts exposure and professional development) and Community Arts Engagement (Art events, classes and gatherings). The services we provide are artist development workshops, one on one artist support meetings, creative event collaboration/support for organizations and businesses, and online promotion for artists.
