With support from the California Arts Council, WOMENS JOURNEY FOUNDATION will create free online programs to counter the negative effects of social media and bridge the cultural divides. To address the rising suicide rate, we will create accessible programs that build self-confidence and create cultural acceptance and understanding.

“Making HERstory” Productions-Annual performance highlights stories, achievements and contributions of women throughout history. We celebrate diversity and cultural changes. Music and art are included in these productions. Women and girls of all ages and ethnic backgrounds participate. Highlighted characters have included Dolores Huerta, Fanny Lou Hamer, Ida B Wells, Maria Tallchief, Kalpana Chawla, Althea Gibson, Mabel Pin-Hua Lee.
The stories are history lessons not often found in our history books: Less than 5% of educational materials include women. In over 3500 years of written history women are sadly represented by less than 1/2 of one percent. In the past decade, only 11 percent of all work acquired by the country’s top museums was by women.
