Organization Summary

Our specialized programs and activities are tailored to address the unique needs of veterans with disabilities, whether mental or physical. Through various forms of therapeutic arts, including visual arts, writing, performance, and cosplay, we encourage self-expression, creativity, and personal growth. These activities serve not only as an effective means of therapy but also as a way to build connections and foster camaraderie among participants.

At Veteran Comic Con, we collaborate with experienced professionals and organizations to ensure that our therapeutic arts programs are engaging and effective. By partnering with experts in the field, we continuously strive to enhance our offerings and provide the best possible support for veterans with disabilities. In doing so, we create an environment where these individuals can develop new skills, gain confidence, and ultimately, find healing and belonging.

Veteran Comic Con (VCC) began hosting virtual events in 2019 for military veterans, active-duty servicemen and others to connect in a fun and creative environment. Since 2023, VCC has expanded its programming and collaborative partnerships to bring physical comic cons and art exhibits to the community.

Inclusivity is a core value at Veteran Comic Con, and we work diligently to ensure that our event is accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities. By providing necessary accommodations, resources, and support, we aim to remove barriers and create a truly welcoming space where all participants can enjoy the convention experience. Our commitment to inclusivity extends to our volunteers and team members, who are trained to provide assistance and understanding to all attendees.
