Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Melody of China will provide staff salaries for its administrative staff including Executive Director and Managing Director as well as relief for operating expenses including utilities, phone and internet.
Organization Summary
Melody of China conducts performances, classes and lectures on traditional Chinese instruments including: yangqin (hammered dulcimer), guzheng (zither), sheng (mouth organ), pipa (lute), dizi (bamboo flute), erhu (2-string fiddle), and others. Melody of China also presents performances of newly commissioned works with contemporary composers and performers.
