With support from the California Arts Council, Steinway Society – The Bay Area will present its 28th season of piano concerts performed by internationally acclaimed artists in venues throughout Santa Clara County. Funding will also support student education and outreach programs, with a focus on live concerts in underserved schools.
Steinway Society presents classical piano recitals by world class artists to increase the cultural vibrancy of Santa Clara County, and to advance public appreciation of classical music. A concert partner for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Steinway Society supports the rich history of piano composition and performance by introducing newly recognized artists to the Bay Area and the world, advancing the careers of established artists, and increasing community access to outstanding cultural experiences. Each season consists of ten concerts performed by internationally acclaimed artists. Concerts are held at various theater venues in Santa Clara County.
Steinway Society is also committed to educating local youth, with a special focus on those in artistically underserved communities. Outreach programs include free in-school concerts for students, with a focus on Title 1 schools with limited access to quality music programs; free Steinway concert tickets to financially limited music students; and Master Class and salon-style performance opportunities for highly motivated piano students.
