Vanguard Culture’s core programs and services are arts journalism, professional development for creative professionals, and collaborative cultural events.

Our arts journalism program endeavors to shine a spotlight on San Diego’s local talent, particularly its unique, exciting, and under-the-radar artists and arts organizations. To date, we have received 72 awards for Excellence in Journalism from the San Diego Press Club including Best Entertainment Website in San Diego.

Our professional development program seeks to provide the business skills and resources that are not typically taught or provided in art schools but that creative industry professionals need to find arts jobs and establish successful careers in the arts.

Our collaborative cultural events provide the public and creative communities with immersive, experiential and experimental events that confront the challenges of our contemporary world using imaginative, cutting-edge collaborations between the culinary, visual and performing arts. We were featured for our cross-industry programming on the National Geographic Channel as part of a special on San Diego.
