Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, The Chimaera Project will use funds for general operating expenses to fulfill our mission to provide filmmakers that identify as female with programs that will inspire them to fearlessly create inclusive and diverse projects using film as an artistic vehicle.
Organization Summary
1. Mentorship Program: Provides youth and adults mentoring opportunities in front of and behind the camera to ignite and inspire career opportunities in the media arts and film industries.
2. Film and Media Arts Program: Supports artists/filmmakers to see their projects to completion by providing in-kind services, funding and mentorship.
3. Outreach Program: Provides public conversations, workshops and presentations in alignment with our mission to empower artists and filmmakers with the overarching gaol of creating accessible, diverse and equitable projects using film as the artistic vehicle.
