Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, The Journal Building Artist Collective in collaboration with SF POC youth, will complete a mural to make visible the need and lack of access for POC youth to arts supplies. This mural will launch an initiative to provide 200 youth with arts scholarships.
Organization Summary
Studios – Below market-rate studios support San Francisco artists who have been recently displaced from their studios, or who have never had a studio.
Public Programming – The Journal Building Artist Residence has presented workshops, open studios, exhibitions in local arts communities, and fundraisers to provide art supplies for marginalized communities.
