Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Hollywood HEART will be able to pay the salary of our operations director, and stipends for the teaching artists of our educational arts workshops. Providing programming to some of the most vulnerable members of our community: children in foster care and transitional living.
Organization Summary
Hollywood HEART offers an intensive, educational, and inspirational artistic experience for young people from underserved communities through summer camp programming and year-round workshops in Visual Arts, Music, Filmmaking, Theater Arts, and Creative Writing.
Our Educational Arts Workshops are led by talented local arts professionals and provide under-served youth with hands-on training at both summer camping sessions and in after-school formats. Using dynamic experiences that engage youth in the creative process in a unique and experiential way, our programming offers young people a chance to discover their own artistic voices.
