Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, VNEW will cover basic operating expenses to continue to provide services to veterans when our income has been critically affected by COVID – payments to part time employees, production staff, veteran workers; insurance; rent; website; database management; zoom subscriptions; software subscriptions; utilities.
Organization Summary
VNEW gives veteran musicians and singers opportunities to perform for the public and other veterans through live events and online concerts (during the COVID pandemic).
VNEW pays veterans for their performances and hires veteran production people to work on the online and live events.
VNEW is planning a series of online music and singing workshops in 2021 and another online concert featuring veteran performers.
VNEW also partnered with American Legion Ronald Reagan-Palisades Post 283 to produce events and entertainment for American Legion members and the public. The COVID pandemic cancelled the live events planned for 2020 with The American Legion.
