Project Description

With support from the CA Arts Council, Combat Arts San Diego Inc. will create, distribute and evaluate the REEL virtual art program. This program will provide virtual art tutorials and artist studio visits for San Diego Juvenile Court and Community School youth who are incarcerated or on probation.

Year round weekly art classes for veterans and youth

Step by step virtual art tutorials that are shared for free to veterans, youth, and teachers

Hosting art and healing workshops for veterans, youth, and medical students

Paid-internship positions for veterans and youth to assist in healing workshops and public art projects

Art shows in a variety of local venues that showcase the artwork created in our programs

Mentoring and coaching for veterans and youth to assist in education and career paths in the arts

Partnerships with other community organizations
