Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, the Imperial County Film Commission will organize and hold the 9th Annual Imperial Valley Film Festival and Artist Showcase. This event will bring together people from various walks of life, points of view and ethnic backgrounds. The festival’s program is composed of four main components: competition screenings, art gallery, education workshops and interaction/Q&A with industry professionals.

Organization Summary

The Imperial County Film Commission is a c(6) organization that markets Imperial County for the purpose of attracting media companies to the area and assisting them as they do their work in Imperial County. As part of their community and arts activities the film commission puts on the annual Imperial Valley Film Festival and Artist Showcase. This event has existed for 8 years and consists of short film screenings, art gallery, educational workshops and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
