Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, SAMOAN SOLUTIONS will fund a 12-week arts & cultural educational series and art exhibit(s) on Samoan arts/dance/song & culture culminating in the stage production & performance of “Fagogo o Samoa” a musical of Samoan legends for the residents of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Organization Summary

Fagogo O Samoa – Arts & Cultural Community Workshops & Theater Production:- creates opportunities to share the Samoan culture, heritage and stories. We do so through free community workshops. Encouraging & developing cultural leaders by creating educational opportunities, on stage theater production featuring Samoan practices, legends, song and dance.

LUMANA’I EDUCATION GIFT: Monetary & In-kind support for Samoan Students in the SF Bay Area
CULTURE CLASSES: Arts & Cultural classes & events. Youth learn, language, cooking & more!

MINI EVENTS: including group bonding for members, cultural & art events & collaborative community building.
5K TURKEY TROT FOR CHARITY: Promoting physical activity in our community while supporting local entities who are giving back to our communities through service & action.
SAMOA GIVES BACK CAMPAIGN: Community Volunteer/Service Projects.
