With support from the California Arts Council, BOYLE HEIGHTS ARTS CONSERVATORY will create, host, and produce the Por Vida Media Youth Collective radio program and podcast. A radio show where young people ages 16-24 will be able to share and speak truth by centering their lived experience into community agency. The Por Vida Media Youth Collective is for youth, by youth.
Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory provides programs that introduce career skills for individuals who are interested in pursing creative arts careers.
These programs include: film production, web-series creation, video-game programming, music production, broadcast engineering, and digital content creation. Our FM Radio Station, KQBH, 101.5 is a community service of Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory, with daily programming focused on having community impact.
Our core programs and services are an introduction to creative arts careers that aren’t focused on the artist behind the mic or in front of the camera, rather the 100 jobs that surround those individuals. Skill training is provided in careers that are traditionally not accessible to most under-served populations.
We advocate for a creative arts industry that is reflective of our population.
