With support from the California Arts Council, DANCE STUDIO SHOWTIME – KATUSHA will produce and present the Russian Cultural events–celebration of history, arts and culture. Our events which is free to the public, collaborating with some community partners and arts organizations will connect communities of all ages with a specific focus on Russian immigrants and refugees in the community. It will also showcase the contribution of the Russian speaking community into the life of the L.A. City
Dance Studio providing educational programs for school-age children in Los Angeles County. Our programs allow kids to develop their talents, to receive training in dance, to learn history of different ethnic groups, and to increase awareness of a rich cultural variety of community.
Every year our organization produce own Projects: Christmas Show; New Year dance concert; Annual Cultural Slavic Festival “Maslenitsa”; Annual Cultural Festival “Spring Celebration” and other show and dance concerts for free or low cost for the public. Our audience – around 6,000 people per year.
The history of Studio has been demonstrating a significant success for 22 years. Our students shine on the stages of Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, on Anaheim Arena in Convention Center. Many times, for all years Studio’s performing groups present Slavic Culture at Pierce College on International Folk Dance Festival, at City of West Hollywood Russian Culture Festival, Silver Lake – Slavic Festival, San Pedro International Arts and Culture Festival. Studio’s dancers been invited to participate at numerous national and international festivals, concerts, and shows every year. Twice, in July 2019 and July 2021 – Performing group of Studio was participated on West Coast Junior Olympic Games – Dance category and become a Winner of Gold medals.
