SDA is host to Shahrzad Dance Company (SDC), a group of dancers and dance educators specializing in Persian dance, who under the artistic direction of Shahrzad, creatively explore the boundaries of Persian dance. SDC members teach classes and workshops in the community and perform at various festivals and concerts, sometimes collaborating with musicians. These performances are both local and in other parts of the US. SDA also provides an annual school and library series, educational performances that are free and open to the public of all ages. Other media used by the organization to educate the public in Persian dance are instructional DVDs, online dance classes, and consultations. In addition, Shahrzad has provided the community of instructors around the world a certificated dance program, Comprehensive Fundamentals in Persian Dance (CFPD), where her book, The Art of Persian Dance, is used as a text book. Using the CFPD method she also trains dance educators to teach Persian dance.
