Project Description
With support from the CA Arts Council, YSA will help create a visual arts record of survivors of the 1941 attack on the Pearl Harbor U.S. Naval Base. U.S. Navy &. Army Veteran & professional artist, Aaron Burks & YSA will create “Sleeping Giants: Pearl Harbor Veterans Then and Now.” The Veterans will be drawn & painted as they are now as well as how they appeared in 1941. This will also be the centerpiece of a series of portrait painting classes for local veterans, active duty & their families.

Utility Box Mini Mural Project, Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Regional Affiliate, Poetry Out Loud, Art Fix & Mix, Spill the Ink Writers’ Open Mic, Youth Mariachi Orchestra, and many, many more. We also own and operate the Sutter Theater Center for the Arts and the Burrows Center for the Arts in Marysville which includes our offices.
