With support from the California Arts Council, the Panamanian International Film Festival will :
1. Produce the sixth annual PanaFest event, exhibiting domestic and international Latino films, providing free industry panels, art exhibits and musical performances.
2. Produce a monthly series of livestreaming programs on topics relevant to the professional and grassroots communities.
3. Collaborate on community initiatives.
PIFFLA will continue its social media newsletter and networking efforts.
PIFFLA’s annual film festival provides a showcase for Latino filmmakers from the U.S. and abroad. Programming generally includes an average of 50 films, including narrative and documentary work as well as educational industry and community relevant panels. The event also features samples of other Latino arts such as graphics, photography, music and spoken word.
Throughout the year, PIFF remains active on its social media platforms, disseminating industry and community news and exchanges as well as streaming programming with content ranging from artist interviews to round table discussions on relevant topics.
PIFFLA is available for community based events as well as mentoring occasions and school visits.
