With support from the California Arts Council, POSITIVE ACTION COMMUNITY THEATRE (PACT) will provide performing arts workshops to children, teens, and young adults with autism that will teach social skills and provide community, friendship, and fun. As workshop participants grow as artists and leaders, they will be hired as teachers-in-training, workshop assistants, ensemble actors, and script writers. PACT’s theatre troupe will uplift its community through anti-bullying theatre events.
Each year we provide:
16-week workshop series of ‘Improv to a Job’ workshops
16-week program where the group creates a musical from improv, then rehearses and performs it for our community
weekly virtual theatre workshops
weekly virtual theatre troupe meetings
employment and training for about 5 young adults with autism
