Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY CENTER will provide artistic residencies during its afterschool programs at 4 public schools with instruction in Afro-Latino drumming, dance, stilt-walking and performance for youth in grades K-8. Based in Creative Youth Development and Artivist frameworks, these programs focus on empowering youth to use art to overcome discrimination and create positive change.
