Project Description

“With support from the California Arts Council, BINDLESTIFF STUDIO will collaborate with SF-based Filipino American puppeteer Ramon Abad on a series of free weekend workshops for children 7-11 years old, introducing them to the art of modern puppetry. Partnering with SOMA-based bilingual youth education program, Galing Bata, the workshops will explore Filipino-American history, culture, and identity. The workshops will culminate in a public performance, conceived and performed by the youth.
